Coming off a weekend of movie overload, you'd think I'd have had enough. Well, that's not the case. I was enjoying writing up my movie reviews for latest releases in the theater, I thought I would take a look at the recent releases in the rental world. That and going to the movies on a weeknight with a little kid in the house just isn't a reality for this mom.

So, I went to my favorite place to rent movies: The Red Box (mine box happens to be located in my local Wal-Mart).

Year One looked really good in the previews, but it was very deceitful. I am bias I guess but it was very sacrilegious. It was a major turn off. It talked about the beginning of time, and how everything was, a parody of it. I mean not taking away the whole movie being bad. It was really funny at parts, and it was good acting. I am a fan of Jack Black and like his movies, but it just really didn't do it for me, with all the Biblical jokes. But I say wait until it comes out on DVD or just keep watching the trailer I have for it, you will laugh just as much.

I saw this movie with my friends the night it came out. I had high expectations for this movie because the trailer looked really funny. It did not let me down. It was great, funny and had a good story. Even Mike Tyson got in on the action in this movie, and the scenes he was in were great. Probably not the best movie to take kids to, at all actually. It is rated R for a reason.
