Yep.
I am that moviegoer that will gasp audibly when something amazing/shocking happens on the big screen. Which means, that I was pretty loud throughout the entire movie; and my friends gave me grief.
I like to suspend belief while I watch a movie- pretend that it could really happen…sure it could.
I felt like a wrung-out rag by the time this movie was over. There was disaster heaped on top of disappoint- over and over. There are only so many times my little heart can handle all that catastrophe in 158 minutes.
There were some giggles.
Moments of triumph.
Visions of the ever-beautiful sacrificial human spirit of love.
I didn’t expect arks- I believed the rocket gossip. And I am concerned about the other arks that didn’t make it- there were only 3 at the end. What happened to the others….oh, they probably drew the curtains for me so that I didn’t have to see their untimely end as the tsunami waves crashed against the hulls and smashed them into smithereens against Mount Fuji.
Probably a good thing they didn’t clarify what happened to the other arks- as it was, I had to walk away from my group of friends after we left the theater. I was like, “Peace out. I need a break.”
